Tempe's premier 125 acre park offers amenities and activities that include a 12 acre lake, fishing, sand volleyball courts, softball and soccer fields, and children's playgrounds. Boat rentals are also available.

Maricopa Moves, a morning-long program comprising half wellness activities and half old-fashioned employee picnic.
The 2008 event was held at Kiwanis Park in Tempe, and featured a number of family activities, many of them on inflatable objects such as a giant slide. There was rock-climbing for the vertically adventurous, a three-on-three basketball tournament (with Chancellor Rufus Glasper leading the way on the court), and face painting and clowns making balloons for the kids.
Maricopa Moves is designed as a way for employees and their families to participate in an event that encourages participation in wellness activities -- relaxing, exercising, and having fun with other Maricopa employees and families. |
